Great music for everyone – be a part of it
We live in increasingly difficult times. Music and the connection it fosters in all of us is more important than ever.
As budgets are squeezed with funders we are looking to our supporters to help get behind our mission to bring quality live music to as many people as possible.
It costs around £40,000 per year for Soundhouse to support live music, musicians, venue staff and our audiences in an ethical and fair way. We do this because we, like you, believe that the live music sector in Scotland is vital to our lives and to our community.
Any contribution that you can make to helping Soundhouse is a step towards sustaining the vibrant musical sector in Scotland. Also, Soundhouse is a charity so giving to us means that you can add gift aid and make your donation go even further.
The Soundhouse Fund will allow us to pay performance fees that offer musicians the freedom to innovate and present new work to audiences; to support emerging talent with gigs and promotional materials such as live videos; to make our ticket prices as accessible as possible; and to continue to use the best venues in Edinburgh.

The Soundhouse Fund
The Soundhouse Fund has been set up to cover parts of our budget not wholly supported by external funders. It is open for anyone who wishes to contribute. We estimate that we require £40,000 per year, to maintain our commitment to our 5 key principals:
to pay musicians competitive and fair rates of pay
to keep ticket prices as low as possible for audience members
to use only those venues that have great acoustics and great sight lines
to support musicians at the start of their careers
to create a feeling of community via a shared love of live music
Giving FAQs

Funds raised will be used to pay musicians, to subsidise ticket prices, to pay for great venues and technical equipment, and to support musicians in the early part of their career.

The Soundhouse Organisation is a charity and so if you pay tax in the United Kingdom you can add gift aid to your donation.

You can donate online via Crowdfunder (click here)or if you’d prefer to transfer funds using other routes ie via direct bank transfer or cheque please get in touch via the contact form above. Gift aid can be added whichever route you take.
