Dean Owens & The Sinners – SOLD OUT

March 10 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Award winning Scottish troubadour Dean Owens has a much anticipated new album, Sinner’s Shrine, out in Feb 2022, and has put together a very special band for this launch date.

The Sinners is a multi talented group of musicians, including his old Felsons buddy Kev McGuire on bass, Craig Ross (Whisky Hearts/Broken Records) on guitars and Neil Weir (OMD) on trumpet, with Dean’s voice up front – subtle, soulful and powerful.

Sinner’s Shrine (recorded with musicians from Calexico) is the latest stop on a lifetime’s journey – from the post industrial heartlands of Scotland to the untrammelled wide-open vistas of the American Southwest – as Dean surrenders to the intoxicating sounds of the US desert states, with themes of love and lust, sinners and saints, the displaced, the wanderers and the border ghosts.

Songs from Sinner’s Shrine will be mixed in with songs and stories from Dean’s extensive back catalogue, combining desert noir and roots with the unfettered enthusiasm of a rock n roller and the sympathetic delivery of folk’s best storytellers.

Sinner’s Shrine CDs will be available at this gig.
