Ceilidh raises £1,000

Ceilidh raises £1,000

Thanks to everyone who ventured out to our Yes/No? Ceillidh last Friday. Despite the general gloom of the day we managed to raise spirits and just over £1,000 for The Soundhouse in the process.

Specifically we’d like to thank the Soundhouse Allstar Ceilidh Band:

Fiddlers: Rachel Newton, Aidan O’Rourke, Catriona Price, Lauren MacColl, Kathryn Nicoll, and Sarah Hoy.

Piper: Fin Moore

Accordionist: Leo McCann

Mandolin player: Ewan MacPherson

Guitarist: Tom Oakes

Bass player: Conrad Molleson (and David Donnelly!)

Drummer: Donald Hay

Special thanks to Rachel Newton and Tom Oakes who organised the band.

Thank you too to Graham Bell, our licensee and bar manager, and his staff of trusty volunteers: Aidan O’Rourke, Charlie Macdonald, and Lisa Williams.

Front of house team we salute you: Andy Levy, Babette Apma, Kolbrun Sigfusdottir, and Ralph MacGillivray.

Thanks to Louis Di Carlo for letting me use a couple of pix that he took with his point and shoot!

Finally, big thanks to the Southside Community Centre and manager Scotty Wilkins who personally looked after the event on the night.
