The Budapest Café Orchestra
“Not so much a band name as a whole genre of its own, Budapest Café Orchestra embraces an encyclopaedia of music and mischief” – The Scotsman
“The music is magic in their hands” – Sean Rafferty BBC Radio 3
“Awe-inspiring music…their gorgeous Mahler is simply stunning!”– Dame Jocelyn Bell
Their glorious 10th birthday year sees Harringay’s favourite boy-band The Budapest Café Orchestra embark on a 9th annual consecutive tour of Scotlandia to some of the most remote and the most midge-ridden parts of the Highlands and Islands as well as this one in Edinburgh.
Since 2011 the intrepid BCO have chalked up over 150 concerts across St Andrew’s fair Isle and even dedicated their landmark 2014 album The Gaelic Chronicles to their beloved adopted spiritual homeland.
They are totally bonkers, but don’t be fooled. This comic bravado is lightly dusted on some very serious musical prowess.
